Blockletter with number
Timeless Rarities - www.rarities.no - Last Updated: 09.04.2026
The "blockletter with number" mould got its name from looking similar to the blockletter mould, but with an extra etched in number next to it. It was a rather short lived mould, introduced in 1953 and sent to Norway in 1954 when it was replaced by the dogbone mould.
These bricks are popular amongst collectors to "complete" as they are all numbered. The 2x4s are numbered 1-8, 2x3s 1-2, 2x2s 1-4 and the 1x2s just have one and two slots. Meaning a complete set consists of 16 bricks in one colour.

Here is an overview of what bricks were available in this mould. The short lines crossing the outlines of the bricks are there to identify the slots in the bricks.
