This is the very first LEGO plastic building brick! Made from 1949 to around 1952. The mould only consisted of 2x4 and 2x2 bricks. Altough there were few brick types this is the mould with the most amount of colour variation. So collecting and cataloguing them can be a challenge. A lot of testing and experementing was done with this mould, which likely lead to all the variations that exist.
